I’m going to PSG, confirmed Neymar
Barcelona’s striker Neymar is actually close to a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, despite the doubts that the French club just tries to get back to Barca because of the interest of the Catalans to Marco Verratti. Brazil’s leading sports site GloboEsporte has revealed that Neymar has already told his friends that he will go to PSG. However, the issue adds that at this stage the chances of the deal being 50:50.
Barcelona does not intend to negotiate with Parisians, which means they will have to pay the full amount of the ransom clause in the star contract – 222 million euros. Although they are aware that PSG’s intentions are very serious, the blagranas bosses are clear that there will be no transfer.
Neymar’s decision has influenced several factors. First, in France he will win twice as much as in Spain. Secondly, the striker is disappointed that Barca did not attract any of his good friends, Philippe Coettinho and Paulinho. Third, the Brazilian wants to get out of the shadow of Lionel Messi and win the Golden Ball. Last but not least, Daniel Alves played a big part in convincing Neymar to accept the offer of PSG. He recently signed the French Grand , and other Brazilians – Tiago Silva, Lucas Moura and Marcinios.
Lukaku is the right one for United
If Manchester United wants to make a flying start this season in Premier League, Romulus Lukaku is absolutely sure their man. The first guest of Old Trafford on August 13 was West Ham, a team on the back of the Belgian striker.
In his four seasons in Everton, he scored 9 “hammers”. Lukaku also loves Aston Villa after he has scored against them in five games within three seasons, and also Crystal Palace – four away games. His transfer to Manchester United also solves another problem because the shooter is definitely not part of the “Red Devils” – a series of 10 “caramel” matches without a shot.
Lukaku has not scored in the league and against Chelsea with Everton’s team, although he could not play against the “blue” in his time as being handed over by the “caramels”, and he only did it once against Tottenham. Better against Manchester City and good against Arsenal and Liverpool. But his overall record for “caramels” against the Top 6 teams was 16 accurate hits in 57 games. In fact, this is only 16 vs. Top 6 of its 85 Premier League goals for West Bromwich, Chelsea and Everton. Of his 25 hits last season 21 came against teams outside the top six and 15 against opponents from the bottom half of the final standings.
This is not to say that Lukaku is fake. Diego Kosta did not score against Manchester United and Tottenham last season (he only made it against the English Cup Arsenal), and Chelsea still won the title. The Red Devils had 115 strokes in the five home games against Stoke City, Burnley, Hull, Bournemouth and West Bromwich, but they ended in a straight draw, with only two goals scored. Lucaku scored eight goals against the same opponents last season, and one can not help wondering if he could help his team to win these matches. And the difference between the draws and the victories in them was to send the boys of Jose Mourinho to the third place.
Yes, if there was no way to allow for a second consecutive season of uncertainty in bringing only 54 goals in a 38-game attack, all the more when the defeat to Antoine Grisman and Alvaro Morata failed, plus the departure of the top scorer in club history Wayne Rooney. Lukaku may well stand out against the weak, but it is precisely in these matches that the big problem of the “red devils” can be considered why only five of the last 48 goals scored by Sergio Aguero in the league in May 2015 came against Top 6. But no one thinks to dispute the importance of the Argentinean for Manchester City.
The biggest teams need this kind of gallantry, who are able to break the resistance of those more modest rivals, fighting with teeth and nails for each piece and taking it at every opportunity. Old Trafford last season missed such a figure, even in the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Now they have probably found the right solution.
Still, when winning the final crowning crown from United in the 2012/13 season, Robin van Persie was the best against the biggest rivals. He was right against any top 10 opponent in the final table, except for the 9th Swansea, including both Liverpool and Arsenal.
And Manchester United did not spend 75 million pounds for an attacker to finish again outside of Top 4.
“Red Devils” can not guarantee, and would not want to have, a new ranking in the Champions League through the rear entrance of the Europa League.
Dundalk – Rosenborg betting review
Dundalk scored his biggest success in European football last season, after losing to the Champions League playoffs, where they lost to Legia Warsaw but won the group stage of the Europa League. This extended season on the European scene has had an impact on their performance in the Irish Championship and, due to the phenomenal form of Cork City, they are no longer part of the fight for the title. This may direct their attention to creating another unforgettable participation in the biggest club tournament in Europe. Luckily, they seem to have recovered from their lethargy at the beginning of the season and are now in excellent shape. They scored a 1-0 victory over Bohemians last Wednesday, recording a fifth consecutive win as they scored a total of 16 goals in those matches. As you would expect, the history of Champions League hosts is not successful. They only won one of their last eight matches in the tournament, but lost only three times and avoided defeat in 75% of their matches. After returning to European football in the 2010/11 season, they are unbeaten at home in six of their 11 home games.
Rosenborg are a known name in European football, but they are not performing well lately. Last season they came to a third round in the Champions League, returning after a 5-year absence from the race. In the second qualifying round, the Norwegian champion removed Norkoping, but then dropped his head to APOEL Nicosia. Far from home, Rosenborg did not win any of their last six European matches, and they have lost their last five games out in the Champions League.
Even in the country they do not perform well as guests, winning only two of their last six matches in all competitions. This gives excellent chances to Dundalk’s team and we are looking forward to not losing this match.

Conte is angry at the failure of Lukaku
Chelsea’s future theme, Antonio Conte, was back in full force in the media on the island. Already several times this summer, the rumor that an Italian could leave the champions was up to date. The reason was always the same – the passivity of the club on the transfer market and the lack of promised new additions. According to today’s information, Conte has been furious with the news that one of his main goals – Romulus Lukaku – will be transferred to Manchester United and not to Stamford Bridge, as everyone expected. “Mirre” says the manager has already planned his tactical outfit for the new season with the Belgian at the top of the attack. Now Londoners have to turn to another striker by referring to the names of Andrea Belotti, Alvaro Morratta and Fernando Jorante.
Conte is worried that his other goals are also not attracted for the moment. The transfers of Alex Sandro and Teimu Bakayoqo are not a fact, and the Italians wanted by Virginia Van Dyke and Alexis Sanchez will probably not be attracted. Only Antonio Rudiger can be considered as a new addition at this stage.
Chelsea gives more than 200 million for summer selections
Chelsea has prepared 125m for its three major transfer goals – Thiemeu Bacayoko, Alex Sandro, and Antonio Rudigeer. The deal for midfielder Monaco Bakayoko is ahead of finalization and will be given 35 million. Rudiger from Roma will cost about 30 million, and Juventus Sandro’s defender could turn into a record-breaking club buyout as it is valued at 60 million. It is expected that the “blue” will also attract Villa Cambaiero, a free agent, for Tibor Courtoa’s reserve.
The most complicated at this stage seems the transfer of Alex Sandro. Chelsea is ready to pay the 60 million demanded by the Italians, and the player himself has understood his personal circumstances. At the last minute, however, Paris Saint-Germain also intervened a very profitable financial proposal for the defender. Stamford Bridge are no longer sure they will be able to attract Sandro, and they even think of spare options, one of them being defender of Porto Alex Tees.
Chelsea received 62 million of sales since the start of the summer after breaking away with Juan Quadrado, Assir Begovic, Christian Atsu, Bertrand Traore and Nathan Ake. The club is expected to give over 200 million to new players, while Londoners are still confident that they will be able to attract Romwell Lucaque from Everton, which is expected to be their most expensive purchase this summer.
Portugal won Group A with a loud victory
Portugal defeated New Zealand 4-0 in its last Group A match at the Confederations Cup tournament. Cristiano Ronaldo (33-e), Bernardo Silva (37), Andrea Silva (80) and Luis Nani (90 + 1) were right for the European champions who won the group with 7 points. New Zealand was left without a winning point in the last fourth place, and second place was Mexico, also 7 points. Third came home from Russia with 3 points.
The first goal in the game was New Zealand. In the 6th minute Chris Woodud got a chance to shoot from a good position, but his shot on land did not hurt Rui Patricio.
In the 26th minute, European champion Cristiano Ronaldo’s superstar was very close to a goal in Stefan Marinovic’s door but his head shot crossed the crossbar.
In the 33rd minute, Portugal came forward. Cristiano Ronaldo was right in the penalty shoot-out after Danilo Pereira was knocked down by Thomas Doyle in the penalty area.
In the 37th minute the score was 2: 0. Bernardo Silva got a wonderful pass on the left and from a very comfortable position did not miss to send the ball to the net behind Marinovic.
In the 59th minute the New Zealanders lost a golden chance to return to the match. Bruno Alves knocked out of the goal after a close defeat to Chris Wood and prevented the striker from realizing a hit. Seconds later, Marinovic saved Cristiano’s brilliant strike and the result remained unchanged.
Marinovic made another excellent rescue in the 69th minute, this time preventing Cristiano Luis Nani from making the score 3: 0.
The score, however, was 3: 0 in the 80th minute when Milan’s new arrival Andrea Silva stretched the net behind Marinovic. Ricardo Quareschma stole the ball from a New Zealand player and Andre Silva with an individual break and a shot from a close added a new goal for Portugal.
The final result was formed by Nani in the final seconds of the match with a stroke in the lower left corner of Marinovich and Portugal continues convincingly ahead in the tournament.
Liverpool refused 11 million pounds for Moreno
Liverpool has rejected an offer of 11m from Napoli for the left-end burglar Alberto Moreno. Merseyside intend to sell the Spaniard this summer, but have put a price of 15 million pounds for Moreno candidates.
According to the Daily Mail, the only official offer for the 24-year-old player so far is Napoli. His former club, Sevilla, is also interested in, but he is not willing to pay the said amount. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klop has not yet pulled a new left back but still does not intend to rely on Moreno.
Three years ago Liverpool paid Seville 12 million pounds for the Spaniard.
Manchester United received a bid for Janusaj
Real Sociedad made an offer of € 11 million for Manchester United’s Adnan Janusaj. The Belgian played 27 “Red Devils” matches in the 2013/14 season when he made a strong impression. In the last two campaigns, however, he was leased out, with last season playing for Sunderland. For “black cats,” Janusay recorded 25 matches, but failed to write down once. Previously, he also failed in Borussia (Dortmund).
The offer from Sociedad is not the only proposal for the 22-year-old Janusaj, which is likely to be sold this summer.
The fair price of Alvaro Morata
Strongly demanded by Manchester United, Real Madrid’s central striker Alvaro Morata may soon be in the English club for the sum of 73 million euros – a huge sum for a player who is not a full-time player in his current team and has never been such In his career. This amount logically raises debates as to whether the price mentioned is fair.
Manchester United’s summer moves wild and loud. Again. After Saturday’s official transfer of 35m euros to Victor Lindelof, Benfica’s central defender, the Red Devils are focusing on replacing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was released from the club in the past week.
And the main candidate for a Swedish successor is Alvaro Morata, who has been actively courted by United for several weeks, and is just a step away from the passage of Old Trafford from Santiago Bernabeu if he believes the Daily Telegraph. The English Grandpa has agreed with the Spaniard on the terms of his future contract, but the amount of the transfer with Real Madrid remains to be settled. And what a sum!
Spanish radio “Oda Sero” said the Los Merenges shooter would cost 73 million euros, which would make him the most expensive player in the history of the Iberian country.
THE BEST SPANISH IN HISTORY?
The calming thing is that the Morata corresponds precisely to what United is looking for: an excellent ending strike and distinctive, bright presence in the biggest games. The Spaniard should fit like a cut stone in the vacated position of Ibrahimovich and easily form a relationship of the terrain with Marcus Rashford.
Morata was one of the most surgically efficient shooters in La Liga last season, with 63% of his strikes in the outskirts of the enemy doors and 27.3% turned into goals. This detail could not have escaped the attention of United scouts, whose attack was only 8th in Premier League’s score last season with only 54 goals scored.
The only downside in the whole picture is that Alvaro Morata has never made a full title in any of his teams – either in Juventus where he spent two seasons, or in his native Real Madrid. The Spaniard has never been in his career so far, even though he is still 24 years old, and has not crossed the 1500 minutes played and 15 goals in a league season. The just-over did not surpass the 2,000 minutes played in all possible races, while Karim Benzema was on the pitch in 3239.
The attacker, who grew up in La Casa Blanca, started on the bench in 35 official matches from the 2016/17 season and was used as an alternative to Madrid’s strikers (although he did not hurt his reputation as a goal-maker) and not as a lead Figure.
In this case, the amount mentioned for his transfer to Manchester United may be subject to discussion. This EUR 73 million, if the operation is confirmed and completed successfully, would put Alvaro Morata on 11th place in the everlasting rankings of the most expensive transfers in the history of football. Stratospheric amount! Taking into account the potential and international experience of Morata, we in France Football consider 50 million euros as a fair market price for his competitive rights. Are You Agree? Or not?
Giggs wants to take the big step with Southampton
Legendary former Manchester United Ryan Giggs wants to start his career as a manager and take Southampton, say the British media. The Welsh who had previously contacted Swansea’s team was one of the candidates for Claude Puel’s vacancy in St. Mary’s.
43-year-old Giggs left Manchester United a year ago as he wanted to start his own career, not once again as an assistant to Old Trafford. He debuted as Chief Manager in 2014, when he led the Red Devils in four Premier League games after David Moyce’s dismissal.
Former Borussia (Dortmund) mentor Thomas Tuchel was a favorite of Southampton owners for the post, but the German refused the job as he was waiting for a club club champion in the Champions League. Frank de Boer and former coach of Alavez Mauriceio Pellegrino are the other names discussed.
10 Frenchmen beat England in a goal show
France recorded a prestigious 3: 2 victory over England in a friendly match played at the Stade de France. Two of the big European football rivals made a real show, and the joy was for the hosts, though almost half a second they played with someone less after Rafael Varan’s red card.
Harry Kane scored both goals for the English and Samuel Yumtiti, Jibril Sidibe and Uman Dembele, who made the winning shot in the 78th minute.
France coach Didier Deschan bet on Olivier Girue and Killian Mbappe, and the attack on the three lions was led by Harry Kane, who opened the score in the 9th minute. Tottenham’s star got a perfect pass from Ryan Bertrand and could not be wrong for a few meters.
Both teams had something to prove after their inconclusive appearances in the last world qualifications. “The Fellows” lost in the last minute from Sweden after a big shot of goalkeeper Hugo Loris and the English squad reached 2: 2 in the derby with Scotland.
Garrett Southgate tested the 3-4-3 circuit, with Rahim Stirling and Dele Ali standing next to Harry Caine. A debut on the right wing of the defense made Kieran Tripier, and Tom Heaton stood at the door.
Deshane left Antoine Grossman, Alexandre Lakazet, Dimitri Paye and Laurent Cosilli on the bench.
The duel began with paying tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks in Manchester and London and performing the Oasis hit “Do not Look Back In Anger” as the footballers left the tunnel. On the stands, French President Emanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Teresa May were next to each other.
After the early goal, France created some excellent positions. Girush’s goal was canceled for ambush, and Dembele did not slam the door, taken to a clear position by Mbappe. In the 22nd minute Toma Lemar centered, Heaton shot the head of Giro, but the ball fell to Umbtiti’s foot and the defender of Barcelona equalized.
In the 31st minute, Mabape tied two defenders but failed to overcome Heaton’s good standing. Aanglia replied with a pass to Eric Dyer. At the end of the half-time, Usman Dembele demonstrated a technique of getting around in the penalty area. Tom Heaton coped with the shot of the youngster, but not with the addition of Jibril Sidibe.
At the very beginning of the second part, Dele Ali progressed, but was overtaken by Varan and fell into the pennant. Judge Davide Massa decided that the defender had committed a defeat and picked up a red card and Caine scored a penalty for 2: 2. Soon after the goal, Dele Ali shot a dangerous head, but Loris was careful.
In the 71st minute the crossbar saved the Brits after a Killian Mbappe shot. However, the “Fellows” did not stop and in the 78th minute the combination between Mabape and Dembele finished with a fine shot on the wing of Borussia (Dortmund).
England played a weak second half and in no way used its numerical advantage, while the French showed many ideas in offensive and deservedly won.
Without Messi Argentina defeated Singapore
Argentina defeated Singapore host 6-0 (2-0) at a control match. Although without his star Lionel Messi, released for his wedding, the South Americans had no particular problems over their modest Asian rival.
Jorge Sampaoli’s new coach-maker Jorge Sampaoli uses the 2-3-4-1 ultracentrifugal system against his modest rival, and the match has become a goal festival for the Argentineans. With a goal and assistant, Angel Di Maria, Alejandro Gomez and Leondro Paredes excelled. Federico Facio and Joaquin Correa scored in the first half hour, while Lucas Alaroo also scored shortly before the end.
The debut of former Sevilla Sampaoli’s mentor, headed by two-time world champions, was successful after a couple of days ago they beat their big rival Brazil in another 1-0 check.
Harry Kane saved England in the 93rd minute and deprived Scotland of a dream come true
Scotland and England played a world-class reversal and emotion that scored three goals in the last six minutes and eventually ended in a 2: 2 clash at Hampton Park. After an uninterrupted first half, Alex Oksley-Chamberlain gave a well-deserved advance to the visitors in the 70th minute. Scotland, however, made a full twist after two goals in three minutes, after brilliant fouls played by a footballer, Lee Griffiths. These were the first hits in the England door in these qualifiers. The Scots already saw their first victory over their big British rival since 1999, but Harry Kane has brought the point of the “Three Lions” in the 93rd minute.
The hosts had two changes compared to the last world qualification against Slovenia. Christopher Berra and Ikechi Anya were the title holders. Five corrections were made by Gareth Southgate. Chris Smiling and Gary Kahil started at the center of defense. Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane, who was carrying the captain’s line, also returned, and the big surprise was West Brom’s midfielder Jake Livermore.
The hosts started stronger and imposed territorial pressure. He brought four corners in front of Joe Hart’s door, but not any danger to the English guard. In the 18th minute, the “Three Lions” created the first more dangerous situation when Dyer brought Harry Kain technically behind Scotland’s defense. The attacker mastered well, releasing Tearney, but fired high above the door. In the 29th minute, Craig Gordon stepped out of his penalty area and played in an unbeatable header but sent the ball straight to Kane. The scorer transferred the guard, but Tyrnny cleared the goal. The ball came to Rashford who shot, but returning Gordon managed to knock at the corner. Five minutes before the break, Lalana freed technically at the border of the penalty area and directed the ball to the upper corner, but Gordon slaughtered.
In the 50th minute, the luck covered the hosts after a Livermore strike deviated from Robertson’s leg, then met the side beam. There was a stir, but none of the red-handed players with the English team were able to score a shot.
In the 70th minute, Alex Oksley-Chamberlain, who appeared in the game five minutes earlier, replacing Rashford, gave an advance to the guests. Arsenal’s own winger secured a position after the “three lions” made a touch in the middle of Scotland. With luck, Chamberlain kept the ball after a ricochet, and it helped him to invade the field, then he fired, and Gordon intervened poorly – 0: 1. Lalana missed a good chance to double, and three minutes before the end Lee Griffiths equalized after a great free kick. That was the first goal for Celtic’s Scottish team. The attack was the first time in England in these qualifiers. Three minutes later, Griffith repeated his performance almost identically, but this time in the other corner of Hart. So the dream come true for the hosts. But that was not all. In the 93rd minute, Harry Kane equalized after scoring off the Scots defense and scoring 2-2 at the center of Stirling’s long beam.
England remains at the top in Group F with 14 points. “The Three Lions” are no loss in 35 qualifying matches. Slovenia ranks second with 11, while Scotland remains fourth with 8 points.
